What Is FLV

FLV is the abbreviated form of Flash Video. It is a kind of file format which is basically a media container. It is used to upload audio and video files in internet. FLV was firstly evolved by macromedia. The popular users of this file format are you tube, yahoo, meta cafe etc. this system has been suggested as the default yupe of file format in these websites. In common flash video refers to two varied kinds of file format. They are FLV and F4V. Usually, an SWF file is utilized to attach the FLV file over it while F4V kind of file format is subjected to be embedded on iso based media file format. It requires the support of flash player 9 update. Both of these systems need support of adobe player.

FLV files are enabled to view in any operating system by the use of Adobe flash players. As a status of media container FLV can contain audio files, video files, text and data within it. Generally the flash players are not subjected to find out the file’s extension during playing it but they just matter with the type of file format in which it has been saved.
